Good location, staff excellent, spacious room, good value for money overall
We stayed for the last of 2 nights of the Stereophonics playing at the Millennium stadium. We usually stay at Hilton Hotels, but all hotels in Cardiff were fully booked, so we stayed at a Futures Inn for the first time. We arrived 3 hours early, our room was ready and we were able to check into our room. At check in time there was a queue outside in temperatures of 33 degrees with about about 20-25 people and it stayed that way for at least another hour. Not much the hotel could do about that, but great that they provided water stations in the reception area. Staff very friendly and efficient at check in/out. Appreciated the water stations by the lifts and ice bucket. Very clean and well presented hotel. Very spacious rooms with 2 double beds. Good parking - appreciated that it was included in the price. Taxis were parked outside to take people into town. We’d normally walk but due to temperature we got in a taxi. £18.10, but worth it. After the concert we had a lovely walk back. The bar was open - very reasonable priced drinks, lots of options and it was lovely sitting outside on the terraced area. Great that the hotel offered snacks - pizza/wraps etc after the concert and again, very reasonably priced. Breakfast was exceptionally busy from 09:00 with long queues to be seated but the staff were amazing at keeping everything replenished, clearing tables and getting people seated. They also extended breakfast for and extra hour. Despite the pressure, staff were calm, patient, polite and courteous. Good selection at breakfast.
Stayed in the middle of a heat wave - temperatures outside were 33 degrees and 6pm so unprecedented temperatures. The air con in the room couldn’t cope and went into error code every 20 minutes, so no air con. Not much the hotel could have done about it.

Great for Cardiff Bay and excellent value for money.
Easy access off main road. Parking, check in, room and cleanliness all very good. Location for Cardiff Bay area good, but immediate surroundings not great due to area re-development. No noise issues though.
Didn't dislike anything.
